The Reel Knights fishing club at the University of Central Florida was established in the spring semester of 2006. We are a club dedicated to preserving the sport of fishing by giving students an opportunity to share their passion with others in a structured, yet comfortable atmosphere. Our members have a very diverse background including fresh and salt water, inshore and offshore. Thus far, we have hosted an inshore redfish tournament, two inshore bank hopper bass tournaments, and have competed in the Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship. We have participated in conservation efforts such as lake cleanups and fishing/casting education for children. We also provide an open forum on our website where members can check updates on club events or post fishing reports and tips.

The Reel Knights were the first collegiate fishing organization to be involved in volunteering at an FLW Tour event and have also volunteered at the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission and Orange County Parks & Recreation for the “Fish for the Fun of It” campaign. This event took place in September 2008 and gave Orlando area families the chance to experience the joys of fishing. Looking into the future, the Reel Knights fishing club will remain highly active in pursuing opportunities for advancement and growth.

The Reel Knights are currently in search of sponsors who can assist us in further enhancing the quality of our organization and what we can offer to our members, our campus and our community. We believe in actively preserving the future of the sport we all share a passion for, and sponsors can greatly help us in our efforts. Any donation, large or small, will be immensely appreciated. All donations will be utilized in a responsible manner that will directly benefit either our club or our community. If there is anything else we can do to help you please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for your interest in the club.
